The two-classroom, one storey building of Mudiang Elementary School from the City Government of Davao was inaugurated last March 30, 2016.
Right after the 58th Closing Exercises of the Grade VI pupils , a simple blessing was made and a dedicatory prayer for the safety and progress of the occupants was offered lead by Rev. Renato P. Combatir.
Graced the affair and ribbon-cutting was the Principal Mrs. Rameline L. Combatir and the Barangay Education Committee Kagawad Antonio Nuer of Barangay Mudiang, Davao City together with the teachers of Mudiang ES.
The pupils and teachers will occupy in a big 7 x 9 classroom, floor with white tiles, a comfortable comfort room and a rain catchment tank for reservoir.
The new building, constructed at the left side of the principal’s office and next to the Marcos type building will be occupied by the Grade 5 pupils this school opening 2016-2017.
“I am very happy that the City Government responded quickly to my request since the school is really in need of more classrooms to cater the increasing numbers of students every school year”, Mrs. Combatir, the school principal said.
On the other hand, the school is still on process on requesting a new H.E. building hopefully be granted by the Local Government since the old Home Economics building is condemnable.
The school is also still on progress on the finishing of the school canteen and the repair of the AGAPP building.
Hopefully, new chairs will also be provided for the students.
